Matt Reese is a freelance commercial photographer & filmmaker in Columbus, Ohio specializing in dramatic lighting, impactful storytelling, and large-scale productions. While primarily based in Central Ohio, Matt regularly works throughout the Midwest and the rest of the United States. His award-winning photography is regularly featured in regional and national advertising campaigns, point-of-sale displays, corporate websites, and many other forms of marketing collateral. With an academic background in both Fine Arts and Marketing, the worlds of art and commerce vividly converge within the frame of his lens. Areas of expertise include Advertising, Commercial, Lifestyle, Portraits, and Motion Productions.
Beyond his work as a photographer/ filmmaker, Matt founded Commons Studio and its Shot for Shot® Portraits giveback program; serves on multiple nonprofit boards including American Society of Media Photographers (Ohio Valley Chapter) and The Film Council of Greater Columbus; and is an active member of the American Advertising Federation, Downtown Residents Association of Columbus, and Columbus Young Professionals Club.
